Hello all, I thought I’d take a moment to update you on some of the things I have been involved in since my last update on here on 02/10/26. Together with colleagues, I responded to a report of four youths in balaclavas behaving suspiciously around a moped. When we arrived, two were detained and two made off. Following a foot chase, my colleague and I detained the remaining two and all four were arrested on suspicion of theft offences. Seizures were made of tools and weapons, with one male charged to court.I received a report from a local store of a shoplifting that had just taken place, and was able to positively identify the offender from CCTV. I attended an address and located the suspect with key evidence still on him (see below photo). He was arrested and has now been charged with shoplifting!I have attended 18 calls for service, to assist response colleagues. These include concerns for welfare, broken down vehicles, fraud reports and disturbances. I have been working with the local council to conduct multi-agency visits following reports of ASB. This has included speaking to those suspected to be responsible, sharing information with council officers, and establishing plans to improve the quality of life for those affected.I have been assisting our investigative departments, and have been able to locate and effect the arrest of three separate persons for various offences such as assaults and other serious offences. Neighbourhood Policing Teams are often asked to help with using our local knowledge to locate offenders and I hope these arrests will progress investigations and help safeguard vulnerable persons.I have been monitoring calls and crime types in my wards, providing written reports to local councillors, and dealing with reported issues such as ASB and traffic obstructions. Finally, I have conducted three stop searches since my last update. One of these arose from a suspicious vehicle which caught my attention whilst on foot patrol. This was stopped and a passenger attempted to make a hasty getaway. He was detained and found to have allegedly breached his court bail conditions. I was able to arrest and remand him to appear at court! As always, please do consider coming to one of my regular ward surgeries which I hold, or feel free to email me or stop me if you see me out and about. Further surgery dates will be publicised shortly. If you have a suggestion for a location you think would be suitable to hold one of these, I’m open to suggestions! Warm regards,
